There are two types of Membership Meetings provided for in Article V of our Bylaws: (1) The Annual Meeting, and (2) Special Meetings.
The Annual Meeting
In February each year, a meeting is held in which all Members’ attendance is requested, and where each Member holds an official seat to vote and conduct business. At these meetings the Membership approves the Minutes of the prior Annual Meeting, nominates and elects the Board of Directors, and handles any other lawful business, especially any requiring a vote of the full Membership.
Unfortunately, Member turn out is often quite low at Annual Meetings, but we would like to see this change. As a homeowner, your voice is valued. When notified, please plan to attend this meeting.
Special meetings
A majority of the Board, the President, or 5% or more of the Members may call a special meeting of the Members at any time to consider any lawful business of the Association. See section 5.3 of the Bylaws for more.
